3/25/20 TCC Covid-19 Update

Hello TCC Family,

I’m writing this evening to share some positive information about ways to stay connected as a community and to offer service to folks in need.

Before we get into any specifics I wanted to share how pleased we are with the feedback about this past Sunday’s TCC live stream service. A special thanks to Ray Manard for all his hard work and videography expertise.  It would not be possible without him! Please be sure to tune in again this coming Sunday at 10:00AM. You can access the service by tapping the “VIDEO” button icon on your TCC app or by going to the TCC YouTube channel at https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCi42X-NAX8tyz8s9txVquAg

TCC Leadership is planning some creative ways to keep connected during this season of Social Distancing. Our primary offering is “TCC Check-ins”, in which one of our staff or ministry leaders offers a 2-3 minute video on our TCC Facebook Page.

We heard from Dcn. Ian Eppard yesterday, and Christin Ortiz posted today. Tomorrow evening (Thursday 3/25) at 7:30PM, Kendra Eppard will broadcast Live for a “Relentless Worship” music set.  You can access all content at the following link https://www.facebook.com/tccrocny/ Be sure to check in!

We also value serving and helping in this time of need.  Several of our TCC sewers are being mobilized for the production of surgical masks to be donated to local medical facilities. Please reach out to Sandy Klosser sandeekay28@gmail.com if you are interested in participating.

We are exploring volunteer opportunities through the YMCA for childcare for those who continue to have needs for their children. We realize this is not a perfect fit for everyone, but may be a great opportunity for those who don’t fall in a high risk demographic. Stay tuned for more info about this.  And, if you have knowledge of any other way we can serve the community, please reach out to me.

Remember, social distancing does not mean social isolation. Stay connected with each other. Write an encouraging note to someone, make a phone call, or do a video chat.  If it appeals to you as a Life Group, you might consider using a virtual platform such as Zoom.  Talk to your Life Group leader about this.

Be assured of my prayers in this time. See you at Mass on Sunday!

Grace and Peace,
Fr. Eric
