The 3B’s (Belong + Believe + Become) are the platform used at TCC to help people discover the big picture of their faith journey. At TCC we understand that “next steps” are important when inviting people into an ever growing relationship with Jesus Christ! Content of the 3B’s discipleship platform is delivered in our Life Groups. Each Life Group is encouraged to rotate through the themes of the 3B’s. This is our intentional aim to expose all of us to broad faith formation.
Belong content delves into the BIGGER picture surrounding church, its purpose, and why it does what it does. Content explores relevant issues like where the Bible came from and what are the Creeds . . . and why this stuff even matters. Topics may examine how the Church began, what it consistently teaches, how it worships, and how it is governed. Belong content looks into history to discover how we’re rooted and grounded in a community of faith that has existed for thousands of years. We explore questions like . . .
- What do we belong to? (What is Church?)
- Holy What? (What are Sacraments?)
- What are you eating? (What’s the Eucharist?)
- Why do we do that? (What is Worship?)
- Where does it all come from? (What was before the Reformation?)
Believe content provides opportunity for people of all backgrounds to explore and reinforce how a relationship with Jesus Christ extends meaning to our lives . . . whether we are just getting started or have been at it for years. Believe content provides practical and developmental exposure to Christian beliefs and practices. We explore questions such as . . .
- Who is Jesus?
- How can we have faith?
- How does God guide us?
- Why and how do I pray?
- How can I choose good?
- What does the Holy Spirit do?
- How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
Become content offers participants an opportunity to explore where and how they fit in! We discover how each one of us is an important part of God’s plan. Said another way, we each have been given gifts and abilities that, when used, can serve God and others to literally impact the world! We explore topics such as . . .
- Local, global, and kingdom involvements.
- How has God made me?
- How and where can I use my talents and abilities?
- Generosity and Stewardship.
