7/21/20 TCC Budget Update

Dear TCC Family,

What a year 2020 has been! Back in early March we would have been hard pressed to imagine a reality where 4 months would pass, and we would still not be together.  It has been hard, but God has been faithful.  He continues to care for us and we continue to do church together, either online or in safe physical gatherings.

I’m writing today to keep you informed about the 2020 budget and to update you on our Covid-19 Benevolence Relief Fund.  First, God came through with the benevolence fund in a major way!  We received donations of $4023.  These funds will help those in our community who have experienced financial hardship or who may have future need as a result of the pandemic.  Please remember, if this describes you, do not hesitate to reach out.

Moving on to the budget, we have three primary categories that we report on each quarter.  As you may already know, this information is typically shared in the bulletin (which we no longer have). What follows is a year to date report in our three primary categories.

Tithes and Offerings (i.e., general operations such as ministry activity, supplies, mortgage, utilities, salaries, etc.) After the 2st Quarter, the Tithes and Offerings line was favorable by $748.  Not only is this good news but it is particularly awesome because we were in deficit by -$4,833 after the first quarter.  Again, this is fantastic news!
Missions Fund (i.e., local agencies such as Compass Care and support for missionaries, religious orders and organizations that support orphanages, education, the fight against human trafficking, providing water filtration, medical support, etc.) After the 2nd Quarter, the missions line was in deficit by -$4732
Building Fund (i.e., monies toward capital improvements such window replacements, HVAC project, etc.) After the 2nd Quarter, the building line was in deficit by -$3007

At the end of the day, there is some good news and some challenge. Nevertheless, we remain in a good position altogether. I can say this not because of any of the numbers but because I know that God is ultimately our provider and He has always been faithful to meet our needs.  We are simply offered the privilege to partner with Him in the provision. “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

You can donate here to any of the three categories, or you may mail a check directly to the church with the category written in the memo line, or you can contribute by tapping the “Give” tile on the TCC app. We thank you in advance for your faithful stewardship of the resources God has provided to you.  May we all seek to support our local church and the Kingdom work we strive to accomplish together.

Grace and Peace,
Fr. Eric
