Mother's Day Event for Dads

In an effort to reach out to our neighborhood community, we are holding a Mother's Day event at 10:00AM Saturday May 10. Fathers can bring their children and make a personalized, high-quality gift for mom. Refreshments will also be served. The cost will be $4.00 per child. This will be a fun opportunity for dads to spend time with their kids, and for the men of TCC to rub shoulders with the men of our community. Our outreach effort will include passing out flyers around the neighborhood, and distributing them to local day cares, schools, and preschools. Please plan to attend, and pray that the event will be blessed.

If you'd like to help during the event itself, please call Diane B. or Ruth P.

CompassCare Vision Walk

Beth Crofton is our church's coordinator for the 2008 VISION Walk & Family Festival. The festival is CompassCare's major fundraising event of the year. Walkers will raise essential funding that will free women facing unplanned pregnancies to have their babies. The goal for the 2008 VISION Walk is to raise $303,000 enabling CompassCare to implement its strategy to save 80,000 more lives in the next 5 years, in Rochester and across the nation. The Family Festival includes food, coffee and drinks, as well as live music, ministry exhibits, carnival games, moon walks, face painting, clowns and balloons.

Please consider being a walker or sponsoring Beth or other walkers for this wonderful life-saving event. Click here for more information about the walk, or give Beth a call.

Women of Faith Conference

The Women of Faith Conference is coming to Rochester on June 6-7 at the Blue Cross Arena. We have the opportunity to buy tickets through another church as we did 2 years ago. The tickets are $119.00 for all day Friday (10:30-3:30) and all day Saturday (9:00-5:00) with 2 lunches, or $73.00 for Friday evening (7:00-9:30) and all day Saturday (9:00-5:00) with 1 lunch. We would need to collect the money by mid May if you are interested. Trinity women have attended in the past and enjoyed it very much. It's a great event to bring friends or family to. Please email Joan Schwabe if you think you would like to attend.

If you would like to learn more about the event visit the website at womenoffaith.com.

Saturday Men's Group

Fr. Robert Dalgleish is leading a study of the wonderful book by Max Lucado entitled “He Loves, He Gave, We Believe, We Live John 3:16.”

Come and join with us as we unpackage the message of John 3:16, phrase by enduring phrase. A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God and ending with life and urging us to do the same. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. This study of 3:16 will bring personal renewal for the believer and a fresh exploration of the Christian faith for the seeker. Discover the life that lies within this Hope diamond of the Bible – John 3:16.

Invite all of your male friends!

Each Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00PM, an Overcomers meeting will be held at the Brother's House, which is open to the public. Overcomers is an addiction recovery program based on the 12 step approach. When possible, the meeting will include the Eucharist.
