Meet Our Team
Lead Pastor
Fr. Eric Ockrin
I grew up just outside of Ticonderoga, New York in the beautiful Adirondack region. I met my wife, Sarah, at Houghton College in the Fall of 1996. We married in August of 1999. Together we have two daughters, Grace and Eliana and two sons, Jacob and Gabriel.
I served eight years as the JH and SH Youth Director before I became the Lead Pastor at TCC. In July of 2013 I entered full-time ministry at the church. My undergraduate studies at Houghton College included Psychology, Sociology, and Education. I went on to earn a Masters Degree in School Psychology from Bucknell University and I hold a Masters of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary. I was ordained as a Deacon in 2008 and a Priest in 2010.
Introducing people to the one true source of hope and purpose is my passion. His name is Jesus. Beyond matters of faith, I enjoy any outdoor adventure, all sports, reading, and talking about life over coffee.
Fun fact about myself...I grew up without electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing. Our nearest neighbors were a mile and a half away on a single lane dirt road. Crazy right?!?
Community Life Director
Christin Ortiz
Hello I’m Christin, the community life director here at TCC. I love our incredible city and I’m super passionate about bringing people together!
I traveled abroad for the first time when I was 19, a trip planned for Greece. While flying there, we were diverted to Germany because Athens was having a blizzard for the first time in 40 years! We spent two unexpected days in Frankfurt..that is when the travel bug got me!
Church Administrator
Colleen Hafner Hummel
Hello! My name is Colleen. I felt as if I was at home the first day that I attended Trinity Communion Church back in June of 2014. Finding this church was definitely orchestrated by the Holy Spirit! I love this church community, my sisters & brothers in Christ and our amazing ministries. I feel blessed to be able to serve here in whatever way that is needed. Along with now being the church administrator, I am a mom, grandma and an interior designer.
Fun facts about me: I love being creative, flowers (particularly orchids), being with friends and family, the color magenta and I live right around the corner from the church.
Music Director
Kseniia Forte
Hello! I’m Ksusha Forte, the worship director here at TCC. Music has always been my passion. I believe that music plays a huge role in worship as it touches the very deep parts of our soul and unites us in our expression of love for God. It is my desire to bring people closer to the heart of God through worship.
Fun fact about me: I was bit by a shark and survived! Believe me, I'm just as shocked as you are .
Associate Music Director
Erin Gorog
Hey there! My name is Erin and I am the Associate Music Director at TCC. I have attended Trinity since 2019 and have had the honor of serving on the worship team since 2020. Music has always been the way I feel closest to the Lord and I love using this passion to help facilitate others in entering into worshipping the One True God.
When I'm not singing and playing keys or guitar, I'm usually playing with my two daughters or having a cup of coffee with my husband.
I played travel ice hockey as a goalie for about 8 years with the Rochester Edge. I also love music, coffee, and listening to people's stories.
TCC Kidz Director
Oliris Ramos
Hello, I'm Oliris. Born in the Dominican Republic where I first learned to love and have faith by admiring my mom and grandparents. Raised in The Bronx where I grew in faith as a teen and starting leading in youth ministries as a young adult.
Service to others and working with kids are passions of mine.
When a child learns a new skill or fact and is proud of themselves for it AND wants to teach it forward... This is what I live and work for.
I love to travel and explore new places and cultures especially with family and friends. Only 1 solo trip so far!
Youth Pastor
Samson Densmore
Hello! I grew up in Iowa with three siblings. I surrendered my life to Christ when I was 18 years old, stepping into new life. Ever since then, I have had a large passion to pastor others on their walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. The past four years I have been in pursuit of God's mission domestically and overseas. I married my wonderful wife in 2022! We lived in Costa Rica right after getting married and ran a coffee shop in the local community. We are grateful to serve God through the youth ministry here at Trinity Communion Church!
I have scared away two bears and one crocodile in the wild! Must be my name :)
Associate Youth Pastor
Chloe Densmore
Hi! I grew up near Chicago, Illinois. After high school, I took a gap year program to go overseas for mission work. That is when my faith really grew and I started to see the truths of Jesus Christ come to life in me. On this program I also got to meet my future husband! After we got married, we lived in Costa Rica for a year to serve in missions at a local coffee shop. I love walking alongside other women in their spiritual growth!
I enjoy coffee and running!
Women's Ministry Coordinator
Sarah Ockrin
Hello! I grew up in South Lyon, MI, but now live in Rochester with my husband, Fr. Eric, and four amazing kids. One of the most amazing gifts that I have been given is motherhood, and I have spent the last seventeen years home nurturing the four humans God blessed us with. I am passionate about seeing women (and all people) grow more fully into their God given identities as daughters and sons of the Most High God.
I love anything outdoors...hiking, running, gardening, as well as reading, engaging in "meaning of life" conversations, traveling, and.....black coffee :)
Women's Ministry Coordinator
Joan Schwabe
Hello! I'm Joan Schwabe. I have attended Trinity Communion Church since the first day the doors opened! I feel so grateful to be part of the women's ministry team loving and serving the woman of our church. I work as a dietitian/nutritionist. I have been happily married for 40 years and have three amazing adult children and a terrific son in law.
I love hiking in the woods, traveling, gardening, creative projects, and visiting with friends and family.
Bookkeeper
Deacon Jimmy Miller
About 10 years ago I began another journey which was orchestrated by the Lord to visit Kenya with my family. I had no idea what would come of that first trip. Ever since, we have traveled back to Kenya every year and for the last 6 years, we go twice a year. My wife, Dr. Chase Miller, trains Kenyan surgeons in ear, nose & throat surgery and God led me into a water filter ministry which has grown and now I have a non-profit called, Pure Water for Africa, Inc.. We use the 501 (c)(3) to raise funds to purchase water filters, medical supplies, and help support a local orphanage near Tenwek Hospital in Kenya.
I was on the front cover of U.S. News and World Report magazine when I was in college. Gov. Jerry Brown was campaigning in New Hampshire and he stopped by New England College for a quick stop.
Priest in Residence
Fr. David DuMont
I was born in Rochester New York, am married to Ruth duMont (45 years now!), dearly love my 2 children, a nearly famous son-in-law and especially my 3 grandchildren.
I earned a BA from Covenant College, and Master of Ministry degree from St. Michael's Seminary. But for many years before that Master's, I worked for 21 years in Kodak's Research Labs, and 15 years in other small technical imaging businesses in Rochester. For an interim of 7 years, I had dual responsibilities as business administrator and chaplain in a transition housing ministry. I served as a Deacon to TCC since 2005 and was ordained Priest in 2018. My passion is having meaningful conversations... especially about living out a faith in our redeeming God.
I love programing in Excel VBA, the enneagram and a good cup 'o joe (coffee).
Priest in Residence
Fr. Donald Wollschleger
I am the Patrol Chaplain for the Rochester and Irondiquoit Police Depts. and Chaplain of the Rochester Police Locust Club.
I enjoy playing guitar in my down time, if I have down time!!!
Technology Director
Craig Mullen
I grew up with VHS tapes and free AOL dial-up internet diskettes. I’m a lifelong tinkerer and a firm believer in “If it ain’t broke, make it better”. When I’m not busy with work or family you can find me tinkering with just about anything that runs on electricity.
Fun Fact: I put over 1,000 miles on a moped...driving in circles around my childhood home.
